San Pancho, Nayarit

San Pancho is a mix of point and rivermouth.  Breaks mainly left, but when the river is open hollow rights are common.

The break is actually in the town of San Francisco, Nayarit, Pancho is the nickname.

Small hotels and rentals are easy to find and there are several great restaurants in town.

Surfers advice: Don't surf for a few days after the river breaks open.

Getting there: Flights are available to Puerto Vallarta (international) in the state of Jalisco.  The town of San Francisco is about 60 minutes north on Highway Mex 200 by car.  Buses are available to the San Pancho crossing, from there it is a short walk down the main street to the beach.
