Caletas, Nayarit
Caletas is a left point break over a rocky reef.
The break is
just a 10 minute panga ride
from the harbor in Chacala.
Chacala beach has
stores to stock up on supplies for lunch.
Surfers
advice:
Don't
touch bottom anywhere near the inside reef as it is filled with sea urchins.
Getting there:
Flights are available to Puerto Vallarta (international) in the state of
Jalisco. The town of Chacala is about 90 minutes north on Highway Mex
200 by car. Buses are available to the Chacala crossing and taxis, local
buses are easy transportation to Chacala beach. Make your to the small dock
and rent a panga.
